Reliance Jio, in association with the Rajasthan state government, has introduced an interesting and appealing offer for Jio Phone. With every new purchase of the Jio Phone, customers will get almost the entire sum back. Part of the payment will be through direct cash subsidy. The government will make the rest of the payment in Mobile wallet that buyers can use as normal digital currency with platforms like PayTM or any other recharge service.
Jio Bhamashah Yojana: Jio Phone at Rs. 95
The Jio Bhamashah Yojana is primarily meant for the citizens of Rajasthna state. Also, to benefit from the scheme, citizens must have Bhamashah Card Number, a unique identity provided by the Rajasthan state. Citizens will have to visit any store or retailer that sells the Jio Phone. They will have to purchase the feature phone by paying Rs. 1095 upfront.
The retailer will accept the Bhamashah Card Number during the purchase and enter the same into the online information repository. The number is quite similar to the AADHAR number, and is even connected to the citizens’ bank account. After the number is fed into the system, the state government will directly deposit Rs. 500 in the bank account that buyers have linked with the Bhamashah Card.
