Ultimately the Government's decision: Two Gujarati books will be taught in English medium schools too!
For the purpose of implementing the Gujarati language in the state after its mandate, all schools will have to teach two books of Gujarati language in standard 1-2. Two books of Gujarati language named 'Kalkilo' and 'Bulbul' will be mandatory to teach compulsory in Std.1-2 after Diwali.
Every state has to compulsorily study the local language of the student. Although there was no Gujarati language in Gujarat, every school was not compulsory. Due to this, the government had mandated the Gujarati language this year. Especially Hindi and English medium schools did not teach Gujarati language. Because of this, the students were going away from their mother tongue. To overcome this situation, the textbook was entrusted with the task of preparing books of Gujarati language. There are two books, both Kalkalis and Bulbul. Both books will have rhymes, riddles, poems, etc. Those who are going to be taught in class 1-2. Both books are mandatory for all board schools.
Further text books are being prepared by the Textbook Board. It is learned from sources in the circle that will be implemented in future. Although there is no pass-dropping in standard 1-2, it is believed that there will be no problem despite being taught after Diwali.
